LQ @ Taholah Friday for major league implications. If Chitwins win, it goes Taholah,MMK,LQ. If LQ wins it is a three way tie for first. Will be crazy in Taholah Friday night.

Neah Bay 81, Clallam Bay 14---OUCH!!!! To make matters worse, their leading scorer was a special needs girl who had 8 pts I believe. She was allowed to shoot freely underneath the basket, the NB crowd erupted with excitement for the girl who herself was in heaven after the first couple shots she made. PRICELESS! It was definitely another tough night for the Lady Bruins against the Last Reds who did pretty much all they could to keep the score down. I'm sure that "Super Squirrel" will use this as another complaint against our tremendous girls program. They have already been accused of running up the score & league rep reported it to WIAA a few weeks back. It was the same school who two years made a complaint to WIAA that our boys purposely ran up the score on both their boys/girls teams. How does a team avoid a lopsided score especially when you do everything in your power to run your offense, make at least 5 passes etc. etc. I truly don't believe making complaints to WIAA is the answer. The toughest thing for a coach is playing against teams you know you are far superior then your opponent. A sports program sure in the heck shouldn't be punished for being good. I certainly don't feel the coach let alone the players are at fault because a team doesn't have the talent let alone a coach that can get them to compete at a level or close to that of your opponent. All programs go through a period here or there where it seems like the bumps & bruises aren't going away but god forbid don't blame another program for your own lack of coaching, talent or whatever you want to call it. It could get worse before it gets better after tomorrows game.

I agree....NB has too much talent and you can't tell your kids to stop playing hard when the Districts and State are just around the corner. I don't believe that NB has ever intentionally tried to run up the score on any team. NB kids have always been gracious, polite and good sports as far back as I can ever remember and that goes Waaaaaay Baaaaack. Super Squirrels are just interested in packing nuts into bank accounts...... www.freewebs.com/2muchfood/photos/Funny-Pictures/Super_squirrel.jpg

I agree that's a tough spot for a coach. You can't tell your kids not to play hard been on both sides as a player and coach. When I was on losing side felt worse when the other team shut it down because it felt like they didn't respect you enough to play the whole game just my two cents worth.

Lyle/Wishram lost to Glenwood/Trout Lake by 8. I wasn't there (see boys report ;D) but hear it was a 3 point game with a couple minutes left but the G/TL made some important baskets and pulled away.
