Don't you have to be grade eligible to be on the roster? Or any failing student can be on a roster? Only if they put this much effort to his education! Then maybe they wouldn't have to resort to looking for loop holes. Remember one player does not beat a team... Go get them Evergreen Lutheran...

From a WCD AD: Should clarify this whole mess--
Understand what the eligibility roster is compared to a game roster. If I have an athlete become ineligible during any one week I may remove the athlete from the game roster, but that does not affect the 50% rule eligibility list.
An eligibility roster means they have their paperwork in and are attending school. It does not have anything to do with GPA. A player could start practicing the week before the 50% cutoff, but not be practice eligible until 3 weeks later and be playoff eligible.
A player could be on the WIAA ineligibility list for September and still be on the roster in terms of the 50% rule. After the WIAA suspension period is over a school could still have the player be ineligible based on their more restrictive policy, but the athlete could still be on the eligibility roster for the 50% rule.
50% rule does not have anything to do with games played.

Way to complicated for me to understand.

WIAA is a complicated mess! Coach Sandusky is way too smart to play a kid that is not eligible and risk his teams run into the playoffs.
