T town is starting 4 sophomores. Pretty good squad, but tough to make a deep playoff run as a primarily a 3 point shooting team. They should cruise thru the league and make it to the state tourney.

Did u guys know there is a 40 pt mercy rule in basketball? If a team goes up by 40, it goes to a running clock for the rest of the game. I had no idea.

The clock stops on time outs and fouls (only after the ref comes to the table to announce the foul or time-out. A slow ref can run out the clock....)

So, unlike the 45pt rule, this applies to ALL high school basketball?

I believe so but I only do 1B games. ;D How is Taholah doing this year, Chitwin? We are good, but hard to tell how we stack up with the good teams around the state. The 2 teams we split the League title with last year have fallen off of the map. We should walk thru the league pretty easily. MMK will give us the best challenge. Sophmore Tadios-Tahkeal is having a great year avg around 20ppg. He really makes the defense defend all the way out. If he gets the ball 4 feet behind the 3pt line and nobody pops out on him, he'll drain it! Great athlete, wish he could play football!

Wow sorry guys its been quite some time since I have visited the site. I was under the impression that the site wouldn't carry other sports. Great to see that the Dr has added Hoops. It looks like I have lots to catch up on with what has been going on up this way.

Chitwhin, how are things panning out down in the south. It sounds like you guys are top dog but who falls in place after you guys. I've been trying to keep up but no luck because you have to subscribe to the daily world now. just trying to see how regionals is gonna stack up.

MMK should finish 2nd in our league, and unless they have really improved, there is nobody close to us. Im talkin 30-40 pt dropoff from 1st to 2nd potentially. Don't know much about the Vancouver area teams, but unless they REALLY improved from last year they will have a tough time competing in the postseason. Dist 4 could taking a beating overall.

Up here in D 1,2,3 there are 4 spots to regionals. The outlook is starting to take shape. It looks to be Neah Bay, Mr Rainier Lutheran, Lummi, Muckleshoot & Lopez vying for the spots with a possibilty of Quilcene & Puget Sound Adventist looking to pull an upset or two if they can put it together at he right time. My prediction will be #1 NB #2 MRL #3 Lummi #4 Muck going onto regionals. I see Taholah making the list of the above to advance from regionals to Spokane. It is going to be a pretty competitive regional and looking forward to some good games, unfortunately there is going to be a good team or two that are gonna be left at home.
