The new Regional Brackets are out. If you beleive polls then 4 of the top 5 teams (in the AP Poll) will be in 1 Regional (Dist. 5 & Dist. 7 -Wallla Walla).

Cougcoach, there will definitely be a few good teams from the eastside that will be left at home with this new regional format. I believe overall the west is gonna be way down this year as far as even competing with any of the 4 eastside teams at Spokane. We have been blowing out teams up our way and IMO after losing 8 seniors last year I thought it would be somewhat of a rebuilding year. We returned only one starter but had a good JV squad last year and those kids that made the transition have done well considering the competition. We have battled injuries and eligibilty issues all year and just now are getting to having the full squad intact. Neah Bay should win our district and has a good chance at winning the regional. The only thing that could keep them from that is if the lack of post season experience and youth sink in. We should be able to make it to state though but I just don't see any westside teams doing very well due to the eastside being loaded this year.

ACH, and SSC will be tough to beat. I haven't seen ACH, except for last year in Yakima but they seem to be on a roll again. SSC is well coached and are pretty experienced. They can play the inside outside game well.

What's scary is that its said to be ACH is even better then last year, they too are very well coached. I see them and SSC as the favorite to bring home the gold ball. I think that east regional is gonna be a doozy, district 7 has Cusick, Wellpinit and from the outside looking in for the 3 & 4 spot to get into regional could be Northport & Selkirk. District 9 has two spots to advance to regionals and most likely will be Rosalia and Colton. From district 6 you have of course ACH and heard Valley Christian is doing good things as well but with only one spot coming from here it should be ACH. From district 5 SSC pretty is a lock on one of their two spots with the other looking like it could be Lyle. You put all this together and calls for one tough regional vying for 4 spots going on to Spokane.

RednBlack, remember only 2 teams advance out of each Regional. The State tourney has only 8 teams now. www.wiaa.com/ConDocs/Con447/11-1B%20BBB%20bracket.pdf Lyle/Wishram boys has just finished the first half of league and beat everyone except for SSC. With fingers crossed we will go to the Regionals. It'll be tough for us to beat SSC, we hung in there for 2 quarters the first time we played them. Anything can happen.....

Cougcoach, there are only 2 regional tourneys and that is east and west. There will be 4 teams from each regional which will be 8 teams overall that make it to Spokane.

There are 4 Regionals- Walla Walla, Mountanlake Terrace H.S, Eastmont H.S, and Timberline H.S. 4 teams go to each Regional with only 2 going to State.

ACH and Valley Christian are in District 7 along with Wellpinit and Cusick. It will be a tough district tounament. it looks like the toughest draw into regionals would be district 7 #3.

Here is how I see the District tournament playing out.... ACH and Valley Christian are both District 7 teams. 1. ACH 2. Wellpinit 3. Cusick 4. Valley Christian Cusick vs. Valley Christian for the 3/4 spots could be reversed. Whatever happens - the 4 seed goes to Mt Terrace and has a good shot at making state as both teams are pretty good teams. District 6 should be Moses Lake Christian

I heard talk that somebody would be better off being the 4 seed than the 3 seed in dist 7 so they could come over here and play.

Stacy, thanks for correcting me. I totally forgot that panorama and bi county were in same district. I also see the teams going on as you predicted, #4 is gonna have a breeze coming over and qualifying for state in our west regional.
