We managed a couple of wins at the All County meet. Kameron won the shot and Tillie won the Jav. That kid from Hoquiam is lightning, 10.65 in the 100m! Smokin!

Must be nice to have a 'track'. We practice on grass.

Wow, pretty impressive team scores for Crescent. Those are significantly larger schools for the most part.

In 86 Crescent put in their new football field, a beautiful natural turf field complete with a 6 lane rubberized track -- by far the best on the Olympic Peninsula. This was all done with donated labor, money and equipment from many local loggers. A widow of a local long time logger gave the school about $100K for the cause. The track has been re-surfaced about 3 or 4 times since 86, the last time just this past summer. The Crescent invitational is one of the best run track meets in the State. Usually there are about 12-15 teams in attendance, don't know why only 8 this year (more than likely $$$$). Teams use this meet to gage competition for State.

It's good to see people come out and support kids and schools like that. I think our school looked into putting in a track and the cost was very high

Arlington is a small school 1 hour east of The Dalles on the Columbia. They do play 8 man. We have played them in the past, most recently 4 years ago (we won 20-2. They got the 2 points when our punter punted the ball into Matai's backside in the, pardon the pun, endzone- illegal touching ) They have been trying to keep their program going the past few years so we haven't played them. They have had a lot of wind mills going in that area the past few years. Yes it is rubberized.
